Amanda Armstrong, LLMSW - Therapist

Amanda earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Spring Arbor University in 2019 and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work from Siena Heights University in 2018. She quickly began her career in the schools and has been working in the schools as the Mental Health Professional for the past 5 years. She has experience in working with children and families on issues relating to anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief/loss, trauma and separation/family changes. She has a heart for serving children, adolescents, and women, specializing in self-esteem, grief/loss, trauma, spiritual formation, relationship issues, anxiety and depression.

Amanda is passionate about helping others to find their healing and restoration to move forward in life with freedom and purpose. She seeks to provide a holistic approach to her clients, meeting them where they are at, while believing that the whole person (body, soul, spirit) is important to be included in the therapeutic process. She seeks to provide a safe space where you can be yourself without judgement, bringing comfort to you with her warmth, patience and compassion. To ensure you feel met and heard in each session, she will listen empathically and integrate evidence-based techniques, while also focusing on biblical principles. If you also desire to include prayer and/or scripture in session, she will be more than happy to incorporate both.
